Our Sustainability Journey

In the light of the enormous environmental, social and governance hurdles ahead, ICL Gaskets & Insulation has made a profound and ambitious commitment to sustainability. This commitment was inspired by a very clear decision: to place ESG at the heart of our business process. We firmly believe that safeguarding the planet, our workforce, and our business is not only vital for the company's success but also a collective obligation shared by all within the IPCOM Group community.

We are committed to ensuring that ESG matters are considered and supported throughout the group, serving the best interests of all those impacted within our company, including customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and the communities we live in.

ESG is a journey and there's still a long way to go. As we are moving forward, our ambition increases and new challenges present themselves along the way. But we are convinced: together, we (can) make a difference.

ESG Governance

BOARD OVERSIGHT OF SUSTAINABILITY

ICL's Management has direct oversight of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy and commitments. Our approach to sustainability is key to the company successfully executing its strategy and as such is viewed as a core responsibility of the entire Senior Management.

SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

Delivering ESG performance is a shared responsibility of all IPCOM group companies and business units, where each has ESG champions, that work together with the corporate ESG team to implement the most efficient pathways to reaching our shared goals.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

We value a continuous dialogue with our stakeholders, to understand and meet their expectations, and maximize our positive impact on society.

Environment

We aim to increase our positive impact on society and environment by maximizing the positive sustainability impact of our products and minimizing our negative operational impact.

We are committed to conducting our business in a way that demonstrates our dedication to global environmental sustainability.

This commitment is reflected in the following priorities:

  • Offer the most sustainable and environment-friendly materials to our customers;
  • Improving our environmental performance on a continuous basis;
  • Working with suppliers who operate with similar dedication to global environmental sustainability;
  • ICL has its own green garden with a large biodiversity of plants, trees, flowers; and
  • We keep our own bees in the garden. Every year, we also produce our own honey.

Each of the IPCOM group companies, where ICL is part of, is responsible for establishing, monitoring and adjusting sustainability initiatives that are aligned with IPCOM’s environmental sustainability priorities.

Sustainable Procurement

ICL Gaskets & Insulation is committed to conducting business with the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and social responsibility. We believe that our suppliers play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal. We are committed to working with suppliers who operate responsibly and share our dedication to environmental & sustainability standards. Conducting supply chain due diligence is an important part of our overall sustainability efforts.

We expect our key suppliers to acknowledge and sign our Supplier Code of Conduct and to complete an annual self-assessment questionnaire, in order to verify their policies, commitment and initiatives.

We believe that compliance with this code of conduct is essential to building a responsible and sustainable supply chain that benefits all stakeholders. We are committed to working with our suppliers to ensure that they meet the standards set forth in this code of conduct, and to continuously improve our collective environmental, social, and ethical performance.

Whistleblowing guidelines

IPCOM provides a clear, accessible, and confidential process for employees and other stakeholders to raise concerns or report misconduct without fear of retaliation.

  • Our grievance mechanism is designed to ensure timely and fair resolution of complaints, promoting transparency and accountability.
  • We encourage anyone who believes that non-compliant behavior has occurred to come forward, with assurance of protection from retaliation.

Employees are encouraged to raise any issues with local management or with the IPCOM/ICL Compliance Officer, or to report through the IPCOM’s Whistleblower Channel here.

This grievance mechanism is available to every internal and external stakeholder, with the objective that anyone can (anonymously) raise a complaint or concern about any activity that is not in line with our policies and legal standards. Each notification through this channel will be treated with our investigative principles of humanity, confidentiality, proportionality and safeguarding to the matter raised.
